birds off! 看到一群野狗聚在门前汪汪叫，也可以Shoo them away! Shoo 是状

声词「嘘」，也指「发嘘声驱赶」（过去式是shooed ）。只须出声，不用动手动脚、

大费周章，就能把对方赶走、吓跑，表示你很厉害，人家怕你喔！比赛的时候，如果你是

个shoo-in－只要「嘘」一下就可以in－进入前三名，甚至卓绝名，那你就是个sure

winner－「十拿九稳」的「必胜者」。当对手实力远不如己，我们铁定会赢的时候，就可以

说：We're a shoo-in in this game!（这场比赛我们稳赢的啦！）
