In this world of change and complexity, people are required to adopt

various approaches in order to succeed in a certain field. Some contend

that it is essential for a man who wants to gain huge achievement to be

adaptable and keep a heart open to updated concepts and information.

These qualities, as far as I am concerned, contribute a lot to one’s

success.

To begin with, adjusting to the environment can be

considered as a wise choice if someone wants to seize the opportunity as

soon as it occurs. Since it is universally known that the only thing

remains unchanged in the world is change itself. People, especially who

want to be successful, should be willing to adapt themselves to the new

trend of this era. For instance, with the advent and the advance of

e-commerce, shopping online has gradually become the preferred choice

for people at different ages, which, inevitably, forms a shock to

physical stores. Given this situation, several towns doing offline

trades in China began to sell their commodities online and therefore

have achieved great success. These successful people have altered their

outdated way of conducting business instead of keeping the same old

method.

Moreover, I hold that people who are eager to be successful

should always embrace new ideas, because one’s own thoughts can be

limited sometimes. One can get a more profound understanding of

something by absorbing the essence of others’ opinions. A successful

application designer can serve as a convincing example. Taking a variety

of advice from the users, the designer can always come up with

incredible ideas and launch fascinating functions into market which

turns out to be popular, because it is the users who are more familiar

with consumers’ demand. Others’ viewpoint often can inspire creative

minds.

However, being overly changeable and blindly going with the

stream can also be dangerous. Only after people judge the benefits and

drawbacks brought by making changes or accepting others’ suggestion, can

they embark on the road to success. Thus, maintaining an open mind

provides people with more possibilities and access to the final triumph.

To

sum up, changing pace with the trend and taking outside opinions into

consideration can play a key role in becoming a successful man. As

Abraham Lincoln says, “towering genius disdains a beaten path. It seeks

regions hitherto unexplored.” Flexible and tolerant thinking mode may be

the stepping-stone for future achievement.
